By God’s Grace We’ve Been Given A Spiritual Cure: The Beatitudes For Spiritual Health

The Beatitudes
The Beatitudes Study For Spiritual Health

I love sharing great books, especially those which really impact a person’s life. I’ve found a great book that’s written in a way anyone can understand and put to use right away. It’s based upon the Beatitudes from Matthew 5:1-12. It’s written by Christian author Steve Byrens and it’s titled, The Cure – Prescription For Life.

Did you ever think about the fact that millions of dollars are spent every month on health care? Yet most people never think about finding a cure for the spiritual illnesses that are causing their problems in life. It’s interesting to note that it’s free to read and study the Bible and receive “The Cure” that only Jesus can give from His Words in the Beatitudes and parables that he shared for spiritual health and well-being.

I’ve included the Beatitudes below for reading, but Steve’s book explains how to understand each Beatitude and use it in your life. It helped me have better understanding of what Jesus was saying so that I can learn to be more like Jesus in my faith walk with God. I highly recommend his book. You can go here to learn more. I highly recommend this book!

Matthew 5:1-12 (ASV)

1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into the mountain: and when he had sat down, his disciples came unto him:
2 and he opened his mouth and taught them, saying,
3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called sons of God.
10 Blessed are they that have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye when men shall reproach you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets that were before you.

Practice Matthew 5:3-12 daily and you’ll see great change in your life that will bring you spiritual health for the rest of your life.
