The Importance Of Christian Meditation For Mind Transformation That Leads To Christian Growth

Christian meditation is important for every Christian.  I’m not speaking about a spiritual awakening through meditation of any other sources but God’s Word.  Many people practice meditation, but for Christians, we must meditate upon the Word on a regular, if not daily basis.

The more of the Word we get into our spirits or hearts, the more understanding and ability we have to live God’s Word.  Living the Word is how we follow God.  It isn’t a mystery or even a right for just a chosen few to develop a deep relationship with God.  Every Christian must develop a relationship with God in order to understand His ways, live their lives successfully in Christ and be at peace.

Romans 12:2 tells us how we can conform our ways and ultimately our lives to God’s ways or the Word.  We are to renew our minds with the Word of God.  James 1:22 says that we are to be doers of the Word and not hearers only.  The way we become doers of the Word is to transform our minds with scripture as we learn it.

Romans 12:2 (NASB)

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

I have found a wonderful tool that will help you daily conform or transform your mind to the Word of God.  Francis Andrews has created a book, titled The Clouds Of Heaven, that will help you daily get the Word of God into your heart.  He has compiled scripture in a way that will help you relax in the Word.  Taking a little time daily will help you grow in the Word and grow in the Lord.   To learn more watch the video below.  It’s a short version of my review of the book and highlights what it offers.   There’s a link in the video that will take you to a page to learn more or you can also visit the author’s blog that sheds even more light on The Clouds of HeavenGo here for Andrew’s blog.
